Julie Newport

Julie graduated with honours from QUT's School of Optometry in 1989. After having worked in other practices, she decided to step out on her own, and has never looked back.

Her main professional interests include contact lenses and therapeutic care of eye health problems. She has a huge interest in dry eyes, which lately appear to affect the majority of the population. See our section on dry eyes.

She is also a concert pianist with her own orchestra, the Queensland Philanthropic Orchestra.

Julie and Craig Newport live locally with their three young boys.
