In keeping with our goals of always providing the very best in eye care, ICU has also taken the big step of purchasing an Optical Coherence Tomographer. This gives images of the retina (the nerve screen at the back of our eyes) in cross-section, and with insane detail. With this technology we can see right down to individual retinal cells. We’re now one of only a tiny handful of optometric practices in the country with one of these, and we’ll be using it to provide even more advanced diagnostic services for patients with retinal/macular concerns or question marks over glaucoma.
