Sun protection is vital for our eyes. Young eyes, just like young skin, can suffer a great deal of damage, although visible signs of this damage may not be evident for many years. It's never too early to get your kids into sunnies - mine have been wearing them since they were 4 days old.
Our policy is to provide children (to 12 years) with sunglasses at every opportunity. We have a good range of sunnies your kids will love to wear, and they're all 100% UV protective. There's no catch - all you need to do is ask, and we will provide these free of charge.
A suggestion for home - help your child to find a sensible place to keep his or her new sunglasses when they're not being worn. In a schoolbag pocket, on the kitchen windowsill, wherever it'll be easy to find them.
Should your child wear his or her sunnies on cloudy days? You bet. In the car? Always. To school? Good luck - peer pressure can be a big problem if your child is the only one at school wearing sunnies, but what a great example to the other kids and their parents!
Ask about our birthday voucher programme too - each year until his or her 12th birthday, your child will receive a voucher for a free hat (like the one pictured) and pair of sunglasses. If you'd like your child registered for this, please email us your child's name, address and date of birth.
